I hope this email finds you in good health and peace of mind.
Thanks to the donations offered by your supporters because of your kind referrals, I have been working on scanning books for MCU MA in Buddhist Studies students. That is, making an e-library. I have scanned and converted to searchable PDF’s, nearly all the text books I had [more than 20] for the first and second year courses and saved them on a computer accessible to students. Many students are from poor countries and don’t have computers or the means to get these books. I have informed the first and second year students about them.
Even though I prefer not to keep money, I have opened a bank account and got a Visa debit card. So now I can purchase books on the internet, which are not available in the libraries of MCU, Thammasat, Mahidol, Chulalongkorn, National Library or Siam Society Library. I can get copies of books from MCU, Thammasat and Siam Society quite easily. I have two friends studying in Mahidol and they can borrow books from there for me and I have one friend who can borrow from Chulalongkorn Library. I have not yet tried to copy a book from the National Library.
If you, or some friends would like to donate towards purchasing some books over the internet that are not available in the libraries mentioned above, so I can make a photocopy to scan as an e-book and then donate the original hard copy to one of those libraries above, then you are welcome to deposit any amount into the following account with Bangkok Bank:
